AACF Annual Report
Philanthropy Our Way
2020 - 2021 Annual Report
African-American philanthropy runs the gamut, from tithing to our churches, giving to sororities, fraternities, and civic clubs, to making significant contributions to our collegiate alma maters and, more recently, to social justice causes. Black philanthropy provides the indispensable financial foundation, which guarantees the survival of vitally important nonprofit institutions and fuels our ascent to new heights of impact and excellence.
Our fiscal year 2020-2021 was highlighted by the well-received inaugural John E. Moore Sr. Memorial Golf Outing, with over 50 registered golfers! Additionally, we awarded $15,000 in scholarships to 11 ambitious college students and more than $16,000 to seven Dayton-area nonprofit organizations. Our assets under management now include 208 funds totaling over $8 million and continues to grow as we welcomed seven new funds to the AACF Fund Family, as well as six talented new Advisory Board members.
On behalf of the AACF Advisory Board, thank you to all of our
donors, fund holders and community stakeholders. We are
grateful for your support. It has been my privilege to lead this
organization this past year and be part of this proud tradition of
African-American philanthropy in the Miami Valley.
Sincerely,
Debbie M. Carter,
President, African-American Community Fund
